What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid does not cost you a penny more, but can add an additional 25p to every £1 you donate. When International Aid Charity UK receives a donation from a UK taxpayer, we're entitled to claim an amount of tax (calculated at the basic rate of income tax in that year) paid on that donation. Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf, there is no need for you to do anything else.

All that is required is that you must be a taxpayer and that would have paid or will pay sufficient Income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

The amount of tax we claim will be 25% of the total value of your donations in that tax year. Furthermore, if you are a higher taxpayer, you are also entitled to claim the difference between the basic rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. If your tax situation changes and your gifts will no longer be eligible for the Gift Aid scheme please contact us and we will amend your record accordingly.

WINTER 2025 FOOD BOX & BLANKET APPEAL

Support Families in Turkiye This Winter – Help Deliver Hope and Warmth

Every year, I return to Reyhanli, Turkiye, to support families who are living in unimaginable hardship. Despite our efforts, we’re always struck by the increasing struggles they face. Families are battling the bitter cold, often without the most basic necessities to keep themselves warm and fed. From camps, orphanages, and shelters—hope feels like a distant dream for many.

I will never forget a moment that stays with me every time I return. After distributing food parcels to families in need, we were about to leave when an elderly lady approached me, her frail hands trembling as she softly asked for a food parcel. My heart sank as I had to look her in the eyes and say, “I’m so sorry, we do not have any more.”

The sadness on her face broke me. She turned away empty-handed, and in that moment, I felt utterly helpless. I vowed to myself that I would never allow something like this to happen again—that I would strive to raise as much as I could, so no one would leave hungry, no one would be turned away.

This January, International Aid Charity UK is on the ground in Reyhanli and surrounding areas, working tirelessly to distribute Winter Food & Blanket Packs to families in desperate need.

Each pack contains:

A 20kg food box to provide essential nutrition.
A 4kg woollen blanket to bring warmth to homes during the bitter winter nights.

For just £50 per pack, you can help a family survive the harsh winter months and ease their suffering.

I will personally be on the ground, packing and hand-delivering each food parcel and blanket with your donations, ensuring your kindness and generosity reach those who need it most.
