They Are an Amanah

An orphan is not simply a child without parents. In Islam, they are a sacred trust, placed by Allah (SWT) upon the shoulders of the believers. To care for them is not charity in the ordinary sense. It is the fulfilment of a divine responsibility.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “I and the one who cares for an orphan will be in Paradise like this” and he joined his index and middle fingers together. (Bukhari)

The Scale of What We Face

banner

Millions of children are growing up without the protection of a parent.

  • Syria: Over 1 million orphaned children after fifteen years of war

  • Pakistan: An estimated 4.6 million orphans, many living in extreme poverty

  • Gaza: Tens of thousands of children have lost one or both parents since October 2023

They did not choose this. But we have been chosen to respond.

Your Donation Goes Where It Is Needed Most

There is no single face of need. One child requires food. Another requires schooling. Another needs a safe place to sleep. Your donation to the IAC General Orphan Fund reaches each child according to what they need most: food, education, shelter, and welfare, delivered through our trusted partners on the ground.

Every pound given is a fulfilment of the Amanah.
