WINTER DRIVE 2020 – FOOD BOX & COAL – £53

IA Charity UK usually organises a few Volunteer International Programmes throught the year. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 restrictions in Turkey, we will not be able to run a VIP this winter.

However, as part of the annual Winter Drive programme this year,  IA Charity UK will be facilitating a food distribution programme at the end of November. Our ground team in Turkey will be delivering much needed aid directly to the recipients, Alhamdulillah!

Every winter, blankets and Food Boxes containing essential food items are usually distributed. However, this year will be slightly different with Food Boxes and 100kg of coal for the indoor heating system being distributed to the Syrian refugees in Reyhanli, Turkey.

The Food Box aims to support an average size family for a month with the coal heating their homes for up to 3 weeks.

This is where we really need your help. For just £53 a Food Box, which includes 100kg of coal, you can support this initiative, benefiting the refugee families which also include orphan children.

The Winter Drive Appeal is Zakat applicable and you can also donate your sadaqah, dedicate a Food Box with coal on behalf of or in memory of a loved one.

To help us reach as many of our refugee brothers and sisters in need and to ensure that they get through the imminent harsh and cold winter, please generously now.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid does not cost you a penny more, but can add an additional 25p to every £1 you donate. When International Aid Charity UK receives a donation from a UK taxpayer, we're entitled to claim an amount of tax (calculated at the basic rate of income tax in that year) paid on that donation. Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf, there is no need for you to do anything else.

All that is required is that you must be a taxpayer and that would have paid or will pay sufficient Income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

The amount of tax we claim will be 25% of the total value of your donations in that tax year. Furthermore, if you are a higher taxpayer, you are also entitled to claim the difference between the basic rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. For further details on how you can do this, please contact your tax office. If your tax situation changes and your gifts will no longer be eligible for the Gift Aid scheme please contact us and we will amend your record accordingly.
